A new
jewellery website, farfallina.net has been launched and is promising a collection of unique
handmade jewellery with contemporary designs.
The
company has been set up by Greek-born Theodora Angelakopoulou, who was raised in
New York, but has been living in
London since 2003.
Farfallina offers a range of over 200 styles of jewellery created by
designers from all over the world. Each collection is a limited edition using Swarovski
crystals, semi
precious stones, rhodium,
gold plate and
sterling silver .
When Farfallina say limited edition, they mean it. The great thing about this jewellery is that you can be sure that no one else will be wearing the same jewellery as you as each mould is broken after each item is made.
Ms Angelakopoulou set up her online
accessories boutique after she finished studying
fine art and she worked as a
marketing designer and
fashion stylist in New York. From being a designer and stylist what made her want to sell accessories?
She said, "Simple. I’m a woman and accessories are an essential part of any female wardrobe. Let’s face it, the right accessories can make an outfit and the wrong ones can break it.
"After moving to London, it was difficult to find a wide range of quality accessories that also offered value for
money . In New York you had a wide range of options something that I have missed leaving in UK"
The accessories range covers antique, renaissance and bohemian right the way through to mainstream and contemporary designs. Prices start from £30 for a pair of handmade Swarovski crystal
earrings to £290 for sterling silver handmade
bracelet studded with
cubic zirconia .
Farfallina will have something for everyone regardless of price and taste.
