It has been announced that Links of London is to design an official collection of jewellery for the 2012 Olympic games.
Links of London creative director, Elizabeth Galton, will be creating a range for adults and children, as well as a precious metal collection and gifts . Also available will be a heritage collection which will pay homage to iconic images and events from previous Games. The items go on sale on London 2012’s online store and through the Links of London network later in the year.
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games director of commercial negotiations, Charlie Wijeratna, said: "Links of London is a perfect fit for us and will create beautiful jewellery collections to celebrate the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games . They embody the city’s wit, spirit and heart through imaginative and innovative jewellery design and we look forward to working with them."
