A gold company based in North Wales is in discussions with two famous celebrities from the country to endorse its products, according to Wales Online.
It has been revealed that Clogau Gold is negotiating deals with classical singer Katherine Jenkins and popular artist Duffy. Ben Roberts, the managing director of the company, told the news provider that a celebrity endorsement could help enhance sales and boost the reputation of the brand. He said: "But you've got to be careful to choose the right celebrity, someone who already likes jewellery is always helpful and it can bring in anything up to ten per cent extra in business."
Clogau uses yellow and rose Welsh gold to create its jewellery and the granite quartz and copper which are found in the country's mountains give the precious metal its distinctive tint. In addition, many designs from the firm are based on history and legends from Wales.
