The luxury Italian jewellery retailer, Damiani, is to launch its first store in the UK.
The retailer will be fitting out the shop, a boutique on Bond Street, in the coming months and aims to be open by the end of the year. Damiani Group retail manager Carlo Longagnani said: "Our policy is to be in locations where the most well known international luxury and fashion brands take place and where a brand such as Damiani can find the right placement. This is why we have decided to be in London."
Damiani will be targeting the high end of the jewellery market and hopes to compete alongside luxury brands such as Tiffany . It will sell platinum, silver and gold jewellery and watches, including rings that retail for upwards of £3,000 and bracelets priced at around £5,000.
Damiani is represented all over the world, in standalone boutique stores and through authorised dealers. It has around 40 points of sale across the USA, Europe and Asia.
