British designer Giles Deacon to launch new collection for next spring

Giles Deacon unveils new jewellery line.

His signature designs are back in edgy, gothic-inspired statement pieces, which include silver and gold cuffs adorned with jewelled animal ears, an oversized gold spider ring and an oversized crystal and feather statement necklace . Also featured in the collection are silver animal head pendants and chunky gold rings set with semi-precious stones, which offer a more relaxed, subtle style.

Unlike Mr Deacon’s big show-stopping pieces in the past, his new jewellery collection, inspired by his own clothing designs, is very wearable. He said: "In the past we did big show pieces, but these are very workable into everyday life. I took elements or themes recurring in past collections and recreated them – if a girl liked a particular collection, she’ll be able to buy jewellery that reminds her of it."

The collection has already been bought up by some of London’s top stores, including Selfridges and will arrive in time for spring/summer 2010.
