Omega

Omega jewellery and watches is a luxury Swiss made brand. Originally Omega just a watch brand, that was founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848.

Known for the accuracy of their timepieces, Omega watches were used by the Royal Flying Corps in WW1. The US army also used them during this time. NASA used Omega time equipment for the Apollo 11 mission in 1969 (i nfact, Buzz Aldrin wore The Omega Speedmaster Professional Chronograph to the moon, making this the first watch ever to go to the moon). Omega has been the official timekeeper of major sporting events such as the Olympics, and the America's Cup Yatch race.

The company is now part of The Swatch Group, which owns many other leading watch brands.

In 2013 the company diversified and started producing fine jewellery. They initially tested to see how well the jewellery was received by selling them in some of their own shops. The jewellery was a success and is now available from many outlets.

The fine jewellery collections are very feminine, and are made in white and yellow gold as well as rose gold. Many of the later collection complement Omega's line of ladies watches.

The jewellery collections include: bracelets, rings, pendants, earrings and stacking rings.
